zkSync:

Matterlabs expressed gratitude to everyone who reached out following their post on ZK trademark filing, offering ideas, support, and feedback.

They stated that, as a result of these conversations, they decided to withdraw all trademark applications for the term "ZK." The discussions highlighted a key point: reaching a consensus on a group of people perceived as credibly neutral by the majority was deemed impossible. They acknowledged that what might have been suitable for Ethereum would not necessarily apply to the global community.

Matterlabs also conveyed pride in being part of a movement that strongly values cypherpunk principles and expressed deep appreciation to the @zksync community, in particular, for the thousands of supportive messages received, reaffirming the importance of community.
